Four Things to Bring to the Frame Shop
When you meet your custom picture framer be prepared. These things will make
choosing the right frame a breeze.
1: Your artwork or the items to be framed
Having the actual artwork on hand will allow us to evaluate the condition,
accurately measure, and discuss any special needs the artwork may have.
2: An idea of how or where you want to use the framed piece
Knowing how or where you want to use the newly framed piece will give us a
great place to start in choosing materials. Some environments may require
protective glazing or special mounting methods. We also use intended placement
for overall color scheme or style of the framing materials.
3: Budget
You may not have an exact number in mind, but it is a good overall idea to
know what you want to spend for the project. Budget may make the determination
between two similar materials or the overall scale of the project. We work with
all budgets and offer many choices for each project. Don't forget we also offer
payment plans for large projects and orders.
4: Think about the future
Many clients are just concerned with getting their artworks on the wall.
However, custom framing is an investment in your artwork. The styles and color
choices need careful consideration. Will you love the frame you choose today in
five years? If you move the frame to a new location will it still fit in the
space and be easy to re-install?
