July 2006 Newsletter

We would like to invite you to join us on Sunday, July 16, 2006, for the 3rd Sunday Art Walk. Artplace Gallery will be open from 1 to 5 pm with light refreshments and artwork demonstrations. Other galleries will also be participating, so beat the heat by taking in an afternoon of art!

This month we are proud to welcome north Dallas artist Elizabeth Padgett into our gallery. We are showing a delightful sampling of her multi-media works with plans for a full show in November. Be the first to get your hands on her kimono collages or 15x15 abstracts. Even order a custom designed piece for your home or office! These works are stunning in color and surface and are very versatile in the ways they can be displayed.

Also, crowd favorite Robert Ostman is back in the gallery with new ceramic works. Come in to view the freshest selection of functional mugs, new miniature bottles, and small gift items. Larger works include exquisite shino-glazed vases and new forms rich with texture.

Don’t forget about the “Sizzling Summer Frame Sale” starting on 3rd Sunday (July 16). Receive a discount of 15% off of any custom framing service by bringing in your framing projects during the event. Looking for that special frame? New mouldings from Larson Juhl including the Verona, Tuscany, and Ferrosa II collections are now available at Artplace!

Next month look forward to a small showing of contemporary southwest realism by Barbara Lindfors of Palm Coast, Florida.  Visit our website at http://www.artplacegallery.com for a preview of each artist’s work and to learn more about our gallery. For more information about the 3rd Sunday Art Walk, please contact the gallery at 903.327.8180 or e-mail us at shelley@artplacegallery.com .
