Artist Submissions
Artplace is
continuously seeking talented, outstanding artists both new and established.
We introduce new artists on the third Sunday of each month. Guest artists are
shown for at least 30 days with the potential of becoming a permanent gallery
artist. The number of available guest artists per year is based on the number of
organized events on our gallery calendar and the Denison Arts Council's
calendar.
We show primarily contemporary works with a select showing of traditional
works. All media, 2-D and 3-D are shown in our space. We accept only
consignment works. Our guest artists are responsible for delivery to and from
the gallery of all work. All work must be framed and/or ready for
presentation.
If you
are an artist desiring gallery representation and feel you fit our criteria,
please submit the following:

viewing, or a CD with 5-10 .jpeg images, or 5-10 photographic prints

Cover Letter with pertinent contact information
If
you would like your materials returned, please include a postage-paid addressed
envelope.
If we feel your work is right for our gallery,
we will contact you to set up
a viewing of the actual work. Please do not take offense if you do not hear from
us. We evaluate work based upon what our clients have shown that they want, not
necessarily on the artistic merit of the work. If we have not responded to you
and your portfolio of work has significantly changed since you first submitted
it to us, feel free to submit your work again.
We
DO NOT review portfolios on-the-spot in our gallery. We need time to examine
your work and discuss it freely. Plus, customers always come first during our
normal business hours and during events.
We give special effort to
each guest artist and expect the same in return. |
